Well, once again I have left several months if not years between my posts. I want to begin again. This time I want to share my journey of coming out of depression and self doubt to becoming a person filled with life and an attempting to follow the Biblical examples of a Christian woman, wife, mother and family member to my very large extended family. I want to be an example of Christ. This I hope by writing this down is the beginning of a wonderful and God filled journey.

I must be really interesting....

I am the only person reading my blog!!! OH WELL... that is the life of a midnight nurse...we have no life! Need to go to sleep because I work tonight but I am awake and on the internet. The last two nights have been sooooooo busy and for the first time ever I had to stack of charts to write on later! I hate that! I like to keep current and not have to try and remember "what time did I do that". Prayers for all my family and goodnight (or good noon to some).

Wow, I didn't do well blogging.......

Here it is 1 year since I posted. So much for a current blog! Things have changed. Jessie and Edmund are married, we are working on getting debt free and getting Uncle Sam paid off related to Chuck's previous relationship. I am much calmer with life as it goes, and much more trusting. I can look back now and see that I was so nervous and non trusting because I had reason. I never knew before if I could believe what I was being told and was trusting people who did not deserve to be trusted. It is so wonderful to just be able to say what I think, do what I believe and be myself without being afraid of honesty. I can shut my eyes at night and know I have been true to myself and know the people who say they love me....really do! No drama in my life and that give me the freedom to be true to myself and those around me...... rambling I know, but so blessed!

Twas the Night Before Christmas.......

Well, I haven't done very well posting on my blog, but soon a new year will start. We have to work tonight and then will have breakfast at Angie and Jeremy's, then home to sleep. All the kids were here last weekend and we opened gifts and had several meals together so they could all divide there time with other families this weekend. It gives us time to spend together without the hustle and bustle of lots of places to go. Chuck and I will go visit Grandpa and Grandma Rainbolt in January. Sure do miss my family Christmas' of long ago with my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. But, it is nice be the grand parents now!

Chilling at the Holiday Inn

We are on our way home from Myrtle Beach. Thinking about cooking when we get home. Last year on the way to Myrtle Beach we listened to Julie and Julia audio book. We bought the Julia Child Cookbook and I tried some of the recipes in the condo! I kinda lost that effort and really haven't tried many new recipes lately. I want to go through some saved recipes and recreated some I haven't used in years. I have always been a recipe collecter (starting when I was about 15) so I have lots and lots of cookbooks and clipped recipes. Time to get them out and start cooking!

Myrtle Beach cooking

We have eaten out twice, once with a gift card we bought on ebay at about 2/3 value at Tommy Bahama and once we splurged and ate at Greg Norman's. We have grilled pork chops, steaks and have chicken marinading for the next meal. We have enjoyed coming back to the condo and not having to get dressed to go out again after golf or the beach. It required a stop at the grocery store after we got here but I brought my coupon box and it helped some. We also bought snacks, wine, ice cream and sandwich stuff. We brought some things like frozen meat in the cooler and onions and seasonings with us because we drove. Just some ideas for saving money we currently use, any further ideas???
